Legal Secretary

Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity in the Silicon Valley office for a Legal Secretary providing secretarial support to our Emerging Companies group.

Responsibilities include performing a broad range of secretarial duties requiring a thorough knowledge of transactional documents and corporate terminology. Provides accurate and timely work product in accordance with the needs of the assigned attorneys. Communicates with clients on a regular basis and answers incoming telephone calls in a timely and professional manner. Also responsible for filing; time-entry; mailing; monthly billing memos; and a variety of administrative tasks without supervision.

The successful candidate must possess a high school diploma, five (5) or more years work experience as a corporate legal secretary. Law firm experience is required. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Must be proficient in the basic and advanced functions of Word and has working knowledge of relative word processing software (i.e. excel, powerpoint, etc.). Accurate typing skills of 75+ wpm is required. The ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment and the availability to work overtime when needed.
